    Workshop:
    Building a pizza stove

    Campusgarten der HNEE;
    Ideenwerkstatt Tinkers

The student association Campusgarten (campus garden) is constructing a prototype of an energy-efficient pizza stove in cooperation with the creative lab “Tinkers” on the forest campus. “PYROK” is a synthesis of a pyrolysis stove, rocket stove and a clay stove. This mixture of organic materials with a modern touch minimalizes timber consumption and lead time. The aim is to show contemporary but low-energy alternatives for cooking and living. In addition this project creates a space for get-togethers and events that add to the campus life.

The Campusgarten team invites you to the daily workshop. Learn about the different construction phases and materials or lend us a hand!

    Stadtradeln

    (Bike riding month)

    Stadt Eberswalde

The climate week is over, but climate protection in Eberswalde is just getting started…

… That’s why in this year the town will participate in the campaign “Stadtradeln” (city cycling) for the first time. Between June 5th and June 26th every citizen is invited to cycle as often as possible, no matter where and when.

    How it works:

    • register at www.stadtradeln.de
    • build a team or find one
    • keep on riding your bike from June 5th to June 26th
    • track your kilometers in the Stadtradeln-calendar or the Stadtradeln-app
    • show the world how fit you are and that sustainable mobility and climate protection are important

Do-it-yourself-afternoon: Take action and protect the climate!

The DIY-afternoon with several groups will be held on the city campus in house no. 4, room 101. The event will take place outdoors when the weather is fine!

    Check your bike

    Fahrradselbsthilfewerkstatt des AStA

Take two old bikes and create a new one! If you think that your bike is beyond remedy then this is where we come in. The tutors of the bike workshop can help you to repair damages on your bike with material from old ones. Donations are welcome and appreciated. That way all students that are short of money are able to visit our workshop, too.

    Wood E-Bike

    ZIM-Projekt, HNEE

The study group led by Prof. Pfriem and the innovative Berlin-based company System 180 GmbH aimed at reducing the carbon foot-print of a bike drastically by replacing all normally used metal with the organic material wood whenever possible. Learn about the project and take a test ride on the Wood-Bike!

    Discover cargo bikes

    wandelBar: Engergie- und Kulturwendeinitiative

Cargo bikes make an important contribution to sustainable mobility in urban spaces. Learn about cargo bikes and take a test ride with different types. Use the afternoon to share your experiences about do-it-yourself constructions of cargo bikes!

    Supermarket without product packaging

    Forschungsprojekt der HNEE

Most people are annoyed with the amount of waste that one produces unintentionally every week by shopping and that grows to a huge pile of rubbish over the year.
After all plastic waste made up of fossil materials contribute significantly to climate change. But alternative packaging has its pitfalls, too. It seems reasonable to avoid packaging completely. But is it that simple? The project „Supermarkets without any packaging. Status and perspectives — About the chances and constraints of precycling in the food industry” introduces itself and questions the chances and possibilities of relinquishing waste.

Climate protection by protecting resourcesProjektwerkstatt "Terra Preta und Permakultur" der HNEE

The student project workshop of the Eberswalde university provides an update on the projects “edible mushrooms”, “filter systems for rainwater”, “site caravan”, “plant guild” and the “bokashi-network”.

    Repair Café

    Hebewerk e.V.

You own a toaster or other electric devices that don’t work properly?
Visit the repair café and repair your devices under guidance. In this way you contribute to climate protection and you get active against our throwaway society.

    SMERGY

    BUNDjugend

    How SMERGY are you?
Whether in the kitchen, the bathroom, the living room or in the house corridor: There are opportunities to save energy all over the place. With SMERGY, the European campaign to promote power saving among young adults, we invite you to save energy at home. On our carbon scale and the SMERGYmeter you can test your knowledge about power saving in a fun way and get active in saving kWH- and carbon emission.

    Soap, deo, laundry detergent:

Do it yourself instead of buying it!

    Naturfreunde Eberswalde

Climate and environmental protection starts at home! The more things you do yourself, the less you pollute the environment with energy-intensive packaging and chemicals. In this workshop we’ll produce deodorant, soap and toothpaste with on-hand ingredients.

Official opening of the campus donation box

    AStA,
    HNEE

For quite some time now students swap or give away their used but still suitable clothes, books, etc. Not only resources and money are saved but it is also a fun thing to do! Throughout the climate protection week in 2015 there already has been a campus donation box (Verschenkeschrank) at the Eberswalde university.

And now it finally happened: A permanent campus donation box has been installed on the city campus!

    4 p.m., between house no. 4 and no. 5.

Flee market: Swap or give away your stuff!

Too good for the trash bin? Things that are a waste of space for one person can be a sought-after item for others. A long-term use of products conserves resources and is more climate-friendly than the purchase of new ones.

Bring along the stuff that you’d like to give away or swap.
