Research data management
The internal working group on research data management promotes the structural anchoring of research data management at HNEE and at the same time expands the counselling and support services offered by the Research Service in relation to the topic. For example, specialised topics are also discussed among colleagues. The group therefore includes not only experts who are familiar with the application process, but also those from IT, data protection, the library and academics with specialist expertise.
"Research data includes measurement data, laboratory values, audiovisual information, texts, survey data, objects from collections or samples that are created, developed or analysed in the course of scientific work. Methodological test procedures such as questionnaires, software and simulations can represent central results of scientific research and should therefore also be categorised as research data." - FAIR principles
- The aim is to find an appropriate form of processing for this data in accordance with FAIR principles. FAIR stands for Findable - Accessible - Interoperable - Reusable. It is therefore about long-term and person-independent findability, accessibility, reusability and verifiability of the data as well as taking legal aspects (e.g. data protection) into account. Details and background information on the FAIR principles can be found at the German National Library of Science and Technology.
- Safeguarding good scientific practice
- The statutes were published on 23 March 2022 and define HNEE's principles for safeguarding good scientific practice and dealing with allegations of scientific misconduct.
- Research data guideline
- HNEE supports the cultural change towards more openness and transparency in science, research and teaching through its guideline on the handling of research data, among other things. This was adopted on 28/09/2022.
- HNEE research data strategy 2023-2025
- On 27 September 2023, a temporary research data strategy for 2023-25 for HNEE was adopted by the HNEE Senate. The aim of the strategy is to implement the research data strategy of the state of Brandenburg in the time-limited IN-FDM-BB project and to institutionalise RDM at HNEE.
- Research data strategy of the state of Brandenburg
- On 18 July 2022, a joint research data strategy for the state of Brandenburg was adopted by the Ministry of Science, Research and Culture of the State of Brandenburg and the Brandenburg State Conference of University Presidents.
