Research Profile
Our research aims to generate new knowledge and make it accessible to the scientific community and the public. Research is the process of gaining new knowledge, while publishing ensures that this knowledge is documented and shared with other scientists. Without an adequate research infrastructure, it would be difficult to research and publish effectively. The academic career path depends heavily on the ability to research and publish successfully. Successful publications are often an important part of a scientist's evaluation for promotions, fellowships and research funding.
