Magical forest Christmas and invitation to a walk with lights in the forest botanical garden
garden:
A feast for all the senses

From the 3rd to the 4th weekend of Advent, the WaldWelten Foundation, together with the Forest Botanical Garden of the HNEE Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development, invites you to take a daily light walk through the magically illuminated garden

When the Forest Botanical Garden is bathed in magical light and the scent of fir greenery, firewood and sweet crêpes fills the air, it's that time again: the Forest Christmas invites young and old to an unforgettable experience.

As soon as they enter the garden, visitors are greeted by twinkling lights and the soft, relaxing sound of music by the fire. Elves roam through the forest and invite visitors to immerse themselves in a fantasy world with them. A stilt-walking act makes for astonished faces, while the children's circus "Fantasia or Nothingness" keeps the audience enthralled with a mixture of acrobatics, juggling and theatre. A Chinese light dragon moves mysteriously and smoothly through the treetops. Its bright colours and skilful movements cast a spell over more than just children. Hella von Dallwitz enchants with her sensitive harp playing and provides contemplative moments by the warming fire. For the youngest guests, there is a lovingly designed children's programme with Nadja Erdmann. Here, little explorers can immerse themselves in wintry stories.

Dates:
14 and 15 December 2024 - from 2 pm to 8 pm, small Christmas market and artistic performances for the whole family. Elves and dragon players will enchant the forest botanical garden from 2 pm. The choreographies with Janana Klemm and volunteer performers will take place at various locations throughout the garden at different times.

16 to 22 December 2024 - daily from 4 to 7 pm, contemplative light walk through the atmospherically illuminated forest botanical garden without a supporting programme. The light artists led by Dustin Traut immerse the garden in a mysterious atmosphere.

The Forest Christmas in the Forest Botanical Garden is more than just a festival - it is a journey into another world. A world full of light, sound and magic that allows you to forget everyday life for a few hours and experience the wonder of Christmas.
