Teaching Day - Level Up! How we get the schools off the ground
Last Friday was "Teaching Day" at HNEE: Teaching is our window to the world - and that means our students, who go out into the world, prove the quality of our education and teaching through their work and give us feedback and new impulses.

In her welcoming speech, our Vice President for Studies and Teaching, Prof. Dr Uta Steinhardt, outlined where we currently stand in the implementation of our mission statement, the Eberswalde Study Model and the development of a new teaching architecture, as well as the steps we are currently taking in a process of change.
At HNEE, we must constantly ensure and improve the acquisition of skills by students. One step in this direction is the establishment of our schools. In order to "remain at the forefront of the movement", as Prof Dr Mandy Singer-Brodowski said in her keynote speech on today's Teaching Day at HNEE, we need innovative teaching. Research and teaching with social responsibility requires self-reflection in science. With our new schools, we can succeed in creating the necessary spaces for closer connections between teaching staff while at the same time increasing the permeability of degree programmes for students. Prof Dr Britta M. Gossel and Prof Dr Georg Miribung are the founding directors of the schools. They also introduced themselves today and promised to listen with open ears and to shape our development together.
We would like to thank everyone who constructively enriched the Teaching Day with their contributions and participation!
