Privacy policy on the survey among participants of the University Information Day 2024 on 1 June 2024
General information
This privacy policy is intended to inform participants in this survey about the type, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We take your data protection very seriously and treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory provisions.
Access data and handling of personal data
We collect data using the Limesurvey survey tool.
The following personal data is collected:
- First name and surname
- e-mail address
The data collected is used exclusively to maintain contact with our prospective students and will be completely deleted by 1 June 2025 at the latest.
We only collect and use your personal data if this is necessary for maintaining contact and you have consented to the data collection. Data will only be forwarded to the legally responsible recipients if there is a legal obligation to do so.
If you contact us via the contact options offered, your details will be stored so that they can be used to process and respond to your enquiry. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your consent.
Security measures
We take technical and organisational security measures in accordance with the state of the art to ensure that the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation and data protection laws are complied with and that the data collected and processed by us is protected against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised third parties.
Rights of the users: Information, rectification and erasure
Users have the right to request information free of charge about the personal data that we store about them.
In addition, users have the right to correct incorrect data, to restrict the processing and deletion of their personal data, as well as to data portability and, in the event of the assumption of unlawful data processing, to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
Users can also revoke their consent, generally with effect for the future.
The data stored by us will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the stated purpose (by 1 June 2025 at the latest) and there are no legal retention periods to the contrary.
