Application for a Second Degree or Higher Semester

Second Degree

Applicants who have already successfully completed a study programme (e.g. Bachelor's degree) at a university within the area of application of the German Basic Law (Erststudium) will be selected within the quota for a second course of study when applying for a further basic study programme. The ranking order of the applicants is determined by a measurement number, which is determined from the result of the final examination of the first study programme and the degree of significance of the reasons for the second study programme. A justification of the application for admission is required.

Please note that an application for a consecutive Master's programme does not count as a second degree.

Application for Higher Semester

When applying for a place in a higher semester, the previous studies must be documented by a corresponding certificate. Parallel to the online application, a certificate of no objection (confirmation of entitlement to examination) as well as an Application for recognition must be submitted. Please enclose a current performance record and a module description with your application.

The application for admission must be justified.
