Recipes for the modification of native woods for the production of acoustic woods

The aim of the five cooperation partners involved in this project is to develop a new quenching and tempering system for acoustic wood and the modification process for this. After quenching and tempering, European woods are to have similar acoustic properties to many wood species from the various tropical forests, whose use is becoming increasingly difficult.
The new plant will be systematically developed and set up so that native woods can be modified in it to produce acoustic wood, and the musical instruments built with it will produce the melodious sound that today also opens up a worldwide market for German musical instruments - albeit today still with tropical woods as the basis of the instruments.

The research project was made possible by the SubMat4Music network project.
