Co-operation agreement signed between HNEE and OSZ II Barnim

On 20 March 2025, the President of the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (HNEE) Matthias Barth and the Headmaster of the Oberstufenzentrum II Barnim (OSZ II) André Haase signed a cooperation agreement

The aim of the long-term agreement is to cooperate in the training of skilled labour in the region. The dual vocational training programme, the technical secondary school, the vocational grammar school and the dual study programme as well as the degree course cover all training options. This supports the long-term retention of young people in the region.

In practical terms, HNEE supports the OSZ II by actively providing information on training and study programmes as well as career opportunities at HNEE. In addition, the cooperation includes HNEE's offer of student workshops and project days for study orientation as part of the Brandenburg Study Orientation Network. In addition, pupils of the OSZ (Berufliches Gymnasium) can take part in selected events and projects in the fields of economics and wood engineering.

The OSZ II supports the HNEE by publicising the training and study opportunities at the HNEE among OSZ II pupils. In addition, the OSZ II strengthens pupils' motivation to take up a degree programme.

The cooperation partners coordinate their activities in the dual study/training programme.
