The University Library is a generally accessible service facility for the transfer of media and information within the university, which also welcomes external students and other interested visitors. It provides media, workstations and equipment and supports users in their scientific work. The services are mainly aimed at students, university professors and employees of the university.
Pandemic-related opening modalities of the University Library
From Monday, June 7th, 2021, the pandemic-related restricted opening modalities of the university library will be gradually relaxed.
Up to 10 members of our university can now use the university library from Monday to Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Payment of the fee is possible on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
In addition, up to 4 users can use the PC workstations from Monday to Friday between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. (after prior registration by email to email@example.com) with a negative corona test use it to work in the carrels of the university library. The workstations in the open access areas and access to the scanner and copier remain blocked.
External users are excluded from using the university library until further notice.
The dunning processes remain suspended, borrowed media do not have to be returned.
Please prepare your visit to the university library thoroughly from home: research the signatures in the OPAC and wear a FFP2-mask when visiting our rooms.
Please pick out the books yourself in the open stacks and have them checked out at the circulation desk.
Admission is controlled by a limited number of 10 baskets, which are disinfected after each use. Access is only permitted with a basket.
Remember the applicable hygiene regulations and the minimum distance of 1.5 metres to other people!
When entering and leaving the library building, please observe the instructions and markings!

All students and staff members with an HNE account can access licensed e-books, e-journals and databases from outside.
To do so, you must first log in via VPN.
Our e-books can be found in the OPAC or via Ebook Central.
Electronic journals can best be searched in the Electronic Journals Library (EZB).

or outside of the opening times directly to the staff of the university library
