Welcome to the Language Centre

The Language Centre is the university’s central department for language learning. Its international team of qualified instructors offers language courses for students of all faculties and degree programmes.
The Language Centre’s main goal is to prepare students for education and employment within the context of global communication.
We also welcome HNEE alumni, staff and registered auditors to participate in our courses.
Language Modules
The Language Centre works closely with all faculties to offer both general and highly specialized language modules. Depending on the requirements of their study programme, students take language courses as required, elective or optional modules.
HNEE language modules are structured along the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Modules are generally offered at successive CEFR levels to ensure continuity and progression. At the same time, the size and experience of the Language Centre team allow for flexibility in adjusting the course offering. Language modules are specifically designed to meet the objectives of the degree programmes as well as developments in social and professional life to ensure that students have the international communication skills they require for their future success.
TOEIC
The HNEE Language Centre is an authorized examination centre for the internationally recognized Test of English for International Communication. Further information is provided here.
