ERDF-Project for procurement of a
"Test field for reproducible generation of optimal physical-chemical properties of wood and wood-based materials"
CombiMod-plant (TMT-kiln)
"Test field for reproducible generation of optimal physical-chemical properties of wood and wood-based materials“ is an ERDF-funded project of the Brandenburg Ministry of Science and Culture.
Short description
A newly designed test site tailored to the needs of regional industry will be developed.
The aim is to integrate a newly designed plant into the existing technical center structure of the Faculty of Wood Engineering in order to be able to overcome all previous technological limitations and to offer a new type of test field close to industry. In such a plant, it will be possible to develop wood species- and component-specific tempering regimes that guarantee the development and reproducible production of energy- and resource-efficient lightweight construction products - also as a contribution to the energy transition.
More efficient material use of biobased materials - resource efficiency and maximization of material use of co- and residual materials is of particular relevance for the forestry and timber state of Brandenburg.
