Preparation and study start

This website will continuously updated from Juli 2018 on!

At the HNE Eberswalde the lectures in winter semester 2018/2019  start on 24 September, 2018. Before the 24th of September there will be some preparation courses. You will find further information below.


To start optimally in the Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the HNEE our university provides you the following offers.

We recommend you to take part in these offers because among other things you become aquainted with important processes and contact persons as well as with our Campus-Managementsystem EMMA where you can  retrieve your timetable, choose your elective subjects and where course materials are provided.





Offers of the Faculty of Forest and Environment

The faculty offers a preparation course ("Brückenkurs") for all first-semester students of the Bachelor's degrees in Forestry (FoWI) and International Forest Ecosystem Management (IFEM) before lectures begin. There you will get a qualified refresh on relevant topics e.g. mathematics, chemistry and advanced techniques of word processing and spreadsheet programmes (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Offers of the Faculty of Landscape Management and Nature Conservation

Many interesting Topics and impressions await all first-semester students of the Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Landscape Management and Nature Conservation B.Sc., Organic Farming and Marketing B.Sc., Regional Development and Nature Conservation M.Sc. and Management in Organic Agriculture M.Sc. in the introductory week. In addition to interdisciplinary lectures and presentations of individual institutions of the universtity (e.g. International Office) offers which are adapted to the specific study programmes are provided (inter alia excursions).

Offers of the Faculty of Wood Engineering

For all first-semester students of the Bachelor's degrees and the Master´s degree at the Faculty of Wood Engineering offers a diverse programme in the introductory week. In addition to interdisciplinary lectures, e.g. about financing or going abroad during your studies, first lectures and excursions to companies of the timber industry are taking place.

Offers of the Faculty of Sustainable Business

Interesting introductory courses are provided for all first-semester students of Finance Management (FM), Regional Management (RM), Business Management (UM), Sustainable Business Management (NU), and Sustainable Tourism Management (NTM).

Offers for all new students from all faculties


Matriculation

A truly worthwile event is the matriculation ceremony for all student beginners, which gives the greeting a festive venue.

The matriculation ceremony takes place on the 27th September 2018 at 10.30 a.m. in the building "Haus Schwärzetal" (between the forest and the city campus).


Buddy-Programme for new international students

Please take into account our free Buddy-Programme for new international students. Within this programme the HNEE provides experienced students (Buddies) who will help you having a smooth start at our university and the student life in Eberswalde.



Library

Special trainings are offered by the library in orderr to get an overview of the university library, its premises and working opportunities.
