Preparation and study start
To start optimally in the Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the HNEE our university provides you the following offers.
We recommend you to take part in these offers because among other things you become aquainted with important processes and contact persons as well as with our Campus-Managementsystem EMMA where you can retrieve your timetable, choose your elective subjects and where course materials are provided.
The faculty offers a preparation course (“Brückenkurs”) for all first-semester students of the Bachelor's degrees in Forestry and International Forest Ecosystem Management before lectures begin. There you will get a qualified refresh on relevant topics e.g. mathematics, chemistry and advanced techniques of word processing and spreadsheet programmes (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Many interesting Topics and impressions await all first-semester students of the Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Landscape Management and Nature Conservation B.Sc., Organic Farming and Marketing B.Sc., Regional Development and Nature Conservation M.Sc. and Management in Organic Agriculture M.Sc. in the introductory week. In addition to interdisciplinary lectures and presentations of individual institutions of the universtity (e.g. International Office) offers which are adapted to the specific study programmes are provided (inter alia excursions).

For all first-semester students of the Bachelor's degree in Wood Science and Technology the Faculty of Wood Engineering offers a diverse programme in the introductory week. In addition to interdisciplinary lectures, e.g. about financing or going abroad during your studies, first lectures and excursions to companies of the timber industry are taking place.
Interesting introductory courses are provided for all first-semester students of Finance Management, Regional Management, Business Management and Suistainable Tourism Management.

Please take into account our free Buddy-Programme for new international students. Within this programme the HNEE provides experienced students (Buddies) who will help you having a smooth start at our university and the student life in Eberswalde.
